Getting your walls ready for the paint
The first step in any new paint project is getting your home prepared.
Interior walls can get grimy over time, so give your walls a good pre-paint wash. Using water and detergent to wash them and giving them a good scrub with a sponge will help you get rid of any dirt that could otherwise ruin your paint job.
After the cleaning is done, apply painter’s tape to your trims and windows before you whip out the paint!

The right way to paint your walls and ceiling
Now that you’ve got your interior ready, it’s time to get painting!
Start by using a thin paintbrush to paint outlines around the trims, wall fittings, and light fixtures.
Next, use a roller paintbrush (or even a regular paintbrush) to paint the walls in between the outlines and blend the wall paint with the outlines.
For the ceiling, it’s best to use a long roller paintbrush.
Now, paint could drip down on you in the process, so make sure you apply a thin coat of paint onto the roller and paint in a straight line, keeping the roller away from your head.
Once you’re done, remove the painter’s tape and you’re good to go!
